If you live in the Roanoke Valley and you are looking a community of people who want to serve each other and the people around them then you should check out Genesis Community Church. GCC is a new church plant started by my good friend Craig Tackett along with a talented group of young people who genuinely want to serve the Lord by serving their community. I am thankful to be a part of their journey by setting up this online presence for the church. Check out GenesisRoanoke.com.

Website Launch: theedgeconference.com

It’s that time of year again… the next year of EDGE Conference promotional materials are coming out. Posters have already been printed and mailed and this year’s EDGE Conference website is live.

This year the site is running on everyone’s favorite blogging engine (and light CMS) WordPress! (Shocker, I know.) So head on over to The EDGE website and soak in a little grunge and youthy, EDGE-i-ness. Then come back and let me know what you think.

Website Launch: RhythmVA.com

There are still a few tweaks to be completed, but we have officially launched RhythmVA.com to the public.

Rhythm is a college ministry based in Roanoke, VA. They wanted an easy to use website to keep their people informed about news, events, resources, etc. They also do a weekly podcast of the sermons from their meetings. WordPress was the engine of choice (with a few hacked customized plugins to make it all happen).

Check them out and let me know what you think about the site.

Site Launch: CompassionBloggers.com

cbloggers2-tn.jpg

The first phase of CompassionBloggers.com has officially launched. This site will be a place for bloggers to get resources and information about how they can partner with Compassion International to help release children from poverty. Compassion Bloggers will also take select groups of bloggers overseas to various countries allowing them to see the work of Compassion first-hand. The site will also document these trips by featuring blog posts, images and videos from each trip.

The site is currently running on a custom, PHP-driven infrastructure but I hope to transition everything over to Django for the next iteration.

Head over to CompassionBloggers.com and check it out. Then come back and let me know what you think.
